APRIL 13: Our second day on Oahu. We visited our friends Brian & Karen from LA, who moved to Hawai'i 6-7 years ago. They have a townhouse in Hawaiikai, which Brian called a suburb of Honolulu. Karen made crepes and eggs for breakfast. We visited awhile, and took pictures on the balcony which is sitting on the dock of the bay. Brian told us about a book called Land and Power. It was great to see them, and their cute daughter May, who was a baby when we visited them 5 years ago.

After visiting Brian and Karen, we drove downtown to meet Larry's cousin Bin, and his wife, Joanne for lunch. He asked if we wanted local style food, and Tony said yes! So, we met at Massive Masu's on Liliha and Kuakini Street. The Mixed Plate came with Teriyaki Chicken, Hot Dog, Spam, Kalua Pig, Pork Lau Lau, mac salad and 2 scoops of rice for $6.80. Tony and Larry were in food heaven.

After a big lunch, we drove over to Pearl Harbor. It was closed, but we took some nice photos and decided to head over to the windward side of the island [NEXT]...
